WINTER HAIRCARE TIPS

  • Lower the Shower Temperature Even though it is getting colder, having the shower on full heat will actually cause  more damage to your hair as the heat will dry it out making it look duller and brittle. Try rinsing your hair with cold water at the end of your shower to close the hair cuticles and keep moisture in!

  • Don’t Leave the house with Wet Hair Wet hair is more vulnerable and can be subject  to more damage as it can freeze and break. Make sure to always dry your hair before stepping out.
  • Oil Treatments – When winter wreaks havoc on your hair, restore moisture with an oil based hair treatment.  Try adding Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil to the ends of your hair or apply a good quality hair mask such as Redken’s All Soft Deep Conditioning Mega Mask to your hair before you go to sleep – simply rinse out in the morning! This will replenish your hair’s health leaving it looking glossy and full of moisture.

  • Frequent Hair washes Over-washing your hair will strip it of natural oils that help to  keep hair moisturised and protected. This is especially bad in the winter when those oils are much needed.

Book in for your hair colour appointment today and don’t forget to add Olaplex to your colour to keep your hair looking healthy!
