COVID-19
Beyond Covid-19 - Live True London’s Reopening Roadmap
It is our mission to bring to you the Live True London salon experience that you love – while focusing on Covid-19 safety.
We want to ensure that your experience at Live True London is safe, stays fun, positive and ensures that you leave our salons with incredible hair!
Our teams have been working very hard in the salons every day to put in place best practice for a safe reopening.
We have spent in excess of £60,000 preparing our salons for a safe reopening and have hired a recognised national health and safety consultancy firm to ensure our salons are Covid-19 secure. They have designed and walked us through our salon roadmap to reopening. Our Covid-19 secure strategy and risk assessments have undergone regular updates and adjustments in line with changing Government guidance.
We ask all of our clients to please read these guidelines before their visit. We require all clients to follow our Covid-19 guidelines as these are in line with our legal requirements to be able to operate at this time. If you fail to adhere to these guidelines we will not be able to continue with your service and you could be charged for your entire appointment fee. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
The Salons
We have adjusted our opening hours and shift patterns in line with social distancing and are now open from 8am to 10pm Monday to Sunday. These opening hours mean that we can do our best to see clients while reducing the number of people in the salon at any given time. We will be closely monitoring the number of people at each salon.
We have redesigned entire sections of our salons with social distancing in mind with new comfortable and socially distant sections built in order to accommodate this new way of working. You will see our layouts are now slightly different. We have put in place helpful signage to help you get around our salons and, where possible, put in one way systems.
Screens have been placed where appropriate and sanitisation stations are available throughout the salons.
Distance markings have been made on the floor.
Our team members will be wearing face masks as well as face shields or goggles for the duration of your service. Please note that some team members have a medical exemption from wearing face masks in line with the Government’s guidelines on safety at work and will be wearing visors instead.
Face masks are mandatory for all guests, unless the have a medical exemption. If you forget to bring your own face mask, one may be purchased at the salon for £1.40.
Our salons will now be cashless due to health and safety reasons. Please don’t forget to bring a debit or credit card with you to your appointment.
We have reviewed our ventilation procedures to ensure that there is good ventilation in each salon.
Haircare products will be available to purchase during your visit. Please ask your stylist for help with these.
Our Team
All team members have undergone extensive additional health and safety training, in particular Covid-19 training, before returning to work. We are also running regular refresher training to make sure that all team members are aware of their health and safety obligations and our salon safety policies.
We are monitoring the health of all of our team members very carefully. Our team will have their temperature checked each day before starting. Anyone with a temperature or with Covid-19 symptoms will not be allowed into the salon.
All team members will be asked to self isolate if they have any Covid-19 symptoms, have been asked to do so through the Test and Trace Scheme or if anyone in their households displays Covid-19 symptoms.
Cleaning
We have enhanced cleaning procedures in effect to protect our clients and team members. Each salon will undergo regular professional cleaning and enhanced daily cleaning.
All frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned at regular intervals throughout the day and a record will be kept of this.
All tools, basins, client chairs and work areas will be sanitised using an anti-viral solution between each client.
You will be provided a freshly cleaned gown and towel at your appointment, as always. All towels and gowns will be cleaned between each client at 60 degrees using an anti-viral solution.
We have invested in a fogging system called Electrox to thoroughly disinfect each salon at the end of each day. The system uses an innovative technology which harnesses the power of water and salt to eliminate 99.99% of viruses including Covid-19. The solution does not use any harsh chemicals, is environmentally friendly, vegan and PH Neutral.
Before Your Visit
Please do not come to the salon if you are displaying any Covid-19 symptoms, are self isolating or live in the same household as someone who has Covid-19 symptoms. We ask that you please call us as soon as possible so we can rearrange your appointment.
Please arrive for your appointment on time. As we are limiting the number of people in a salon at any given time, there will not be a waiting area inside. We are working very hard to keep to scheduled timings so we ask that you please arrive at your appointment time on time. If you are running late please call us as soon as possible. We will do our best to fit your service in but if this is not possible we may need to reschedule your appointment and you could be charged for your entire appointment fee.
If your stylist is running behind, we will call you as soon as possible so you can wait either outside the salon or in the local area.
We kindly ask that you come to salons alone and don’t bring children, friends, family or pets with you.
Your Visit
When you arrive to the salon, you will be asked to wait outside.
A member of our team will meet you at the door to check you in. They will take your temperature. Anyone with a fever will not be able to enter the salon and will need to reschedule their appointment. You will be asked a few health and safety questions and asked to sanitise your hands. You will then be guided to your section.
Please note that from 8th August, following the latest Government advice, face coverings will be mandatory for all clients. You can either bring your own or purchase one at the salon.
Please limit what you bring with you to the salon. We will unfortunately not be able to store items such as shopping and suitcases on site for you so please remember not to bring them with you.
Due to health and safety measures, we will unfortunately be unable to serve you complementary refreshments like you are used to. We encourage you to please bring a drink with you, should you need one.
We ask that you please do not eat in the salon.
Unfortunately we will not be able to dispose of any refuse for you and ask that you please take this outside the salon with you when you leave.
Our bathrooms will be available for clients to use and will be cleaned regularly. If you need to use the bathroom during your visit, please let your stylist know so they can make sure it is free for you and can guide you to this.
Whilst we won’t be able to provide physical magazines for clients, we now have e-magazines available in all of our salons which can be accessed through a client’s phone or tablet. These also have the benefit of being environmentally friendly which we love!
We appreciate your understanding that, as a customer, your Live True experience may look different as we navigate through this time together.
