Here, is a guide on how to use coconut oil so that you can get the most benefit from it!
According to the experts, coconut oil is particularly effective when applied two hours before washing – or one, if time is short. When the time comes, rinse the oil from your hair and then proceed to shampooing. After this, you can apply your conditioner as normal.

If you like, you can add virgin coconut oil to your conditioner; the oil will allow the conditioner to penetrate the hair shaft more effectively and for longer. With this, wait at least 15 minutes or up to an hour before rinsing — the longer you wait, the softer your hair will be!

Coconut oil works better in time so, for best results, apply on your hair and leave it overnight. In the morning, you can then simply wash it off with your usual shampoo.
For a top tip, wrap your hair in cling film before going to bed so that the heat from the scalp assists the oil to go deeper into the hair. If cling film isn’t an option, use a towel instead. The results will speak for themselves!
